Charles Coffee v. Volusia County Department of Public Protection

The Florida workers compensation case of Charles Coffee v. Volusia County Department of Public Protection was an accident in which the claimant fell and injured himself, but there were no witnesses. The E/C denied that any accident or injury occurred.
The claimant’s supervisor testified on their behalf, saying that the claimant informed him of the injury a few days later. The JCC determined that the claimant had suffered an accident and had provided timely notice of the fact.
