Christopher Luce v. Walmart Inc and Sedgwick CMS

In Christopher Luce v. Walmart Inc and Sedgwick CMS the Claimant suffered an injury and E/C accepted compensability of the accident. The Claimant was treated for the injury and E/C paid for treatment. Counsel for Claimant argues that he is owed a fee for spending in excess of 28 hours for securing costs of $6.70. Counsel for Claimant argues that the Carrier did not authorize treatment with BayCare until after the PFB was filed. The JCC found that the authorized provider was never deauthorized and remained available to care for the Claimant. No benefits were determined to have been secured, the JCC DENIED the verified petition for attorneys fees.
