This issues which remained to be addressed at the time of the hearing were compensability of injury, reimbursement of medical expenses, and costs and attorney’s fees. The employer’s defenses were stricken for failure to appear and failure to file a pretrial stipulation. The JCC found that claimant suffered an injury to her left ankle in the course and scope of employment. The employer is required to provide medical benefits to an employee when that employee suffers an accidental compensable injury arising out of work performed in the course and scope of employment. Here, the employer failed to do so. The claim for compensability of the claimant’s injury, medical expenses and costs and attorney’s fees GRANTED.
