Patricia Byrd v. Department of Elder Affairs and The Division of Risk Management

In Patricia Byrd v. Department of Elder Affairs and The Division of Risk Management the Claimant petitioned for authorization and scheduling of a left shoulder MRI without contrast. The E/C stipulated to the compensability of Claimant’s neck and right shoulder conditions. The JCC found that the Claimant established entitlement to the left shoulder MRI requested because the evidence shows that such MRI is a diagnostic too to be used to help determine the etiology of Claimant’s left shoulder symptoms. Petition GRANTED.
